One search bar for everything your company knows
Knowharbor builds a federated, permission-aware index across all your connected sources — Confluence, Jira, Google Drive, Notion, GitHub, Slack, Zendesk. Ask any question in natural language and get a direct answer with a clickable source citation. Not a list of documents. An answer.
Embedding-based search, not keyword matching
Keyword search finds pages that contain your exact words. Knowharbor uses embedding-based similarity to match the meaning of your question against indexed content — then searches across all connected sources in a single query.
Ask "how do I onboard a new contractor" and Knowharbor retrieves content about identity provisioning, access requests, and equipment setup — even when those words don't appear in your question, and no single document covers everything.
- Query expansion and concept synonym matching
- Cross-source federated search in a single query
- Results ranked by relevance and recency
Every answer has a traceable source
A RAG system that answers without showing the source document is a liability. When an engineer acts on a misremembered or hallucinated procedure, the cost is real: broken environments, missed steps, security gaps.
Knowharbor's citation engine maps every claim in every answer to a specific document, ticket, or page. Not "somewhere in Confluence" — the exact page, with a direct link. If the answer can't be cited, Knowharbor says it doesn't know.
Q: How do I add a user to the devops-alerts PagerDuty schedule?
To add a user to the devops-alerts PagerDuty schedule, open the schedule in PagerDuty under Configuration → Schedules. Click "Edit Schedule," add the user in the rotation layer, then save. The user will receive notifications on their next on-call shift. For SSO-linked accounts, ensure the user's email matches their Okta profile [1][2]. If the user should also receive off-hours alerts, update their notification rules under Profile Settings [3].

Permission-aware answers
Knowharbor respects the permissions your source systems already enforce. If a user doesn't have access to a Confluence space, they won't receive answers sourced from it — even if the answer would be technically correct.
Ask from where the question happens
The Knowharbor Slack app lets anyone ask a question in #ask-knowharbor and get a sourced answer — without leaving Slack, without switching context, without pinging a colleague.
Installs via the standard Slack app directory. User identity for permission checks is derived from the Slack user's connected identity provider. No separate configuration.
